Whale Conservation

Terri Irwin has made an international plea to stop whaling by supporting different projects that will study whales in our oceans.

Funds raised through Wildlife Warriors Worldwide USA will support whale conservation.

One such project, lead by Dr. Bruce Mate, Director of the Oregon State University Marine Mammal Institute, will determine whale populations and track whale movements including timing, route and rate of speed for their migrations back to their breeding areas.

Tagging and tracking of whales is a non-lethal approach to whale research. This and other ground breaking research will uncover the secrets of these whales so we can learn how to save them.
