I often seem to be coming across injured native wildlife and I would like to remind everyone that the Australian Wildlife Hospital at the Australia Zoo specialises in treating injured native animals. The hospital is open 24 hours a day and the caring and experienced staff will do their utmost to save any injured wildlife. If you are not able to transport the injured or sick animal, then an ambulance can be dispatched from the hospital to bring the animal in, or they will coordinate with a local volunteer wildlife carer and rescuer to help.

The wildlife hospital is located at the rear of the Australia Zoo car park or you can call the hospital on 1300 369 652 to request someone to collect. The wildlife hospital does not charge fees and many of the injured animals are “in patients” for long periods of time while they recuperate from their injuries.

If you would like to support the great work done by the Australian Wildlife Hospital by donating money, I can assure you that the funds go towards a very good cause.
