Get your printer toners recycled
Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors and Imaging Technology Australia (ITA) are working together to recycle used printer toner cartridges to help protect our environment and wildlife.
Businesses are being encouraged to sign up to the ‘Recycling for Wildlife’ program. ITA donates funds from every empty toner cartridge collected via the program to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital.
By recycling used Hewlett Packard, Canon, Brother, Lexmark and Samsung toner cartridges, you are reducing landfill and helping to save our precious wildlife. It’s easy to sign up and best of all, it’s free!
Just call ITA on 1800 077 347 or fill out the form on their website www.ita.net.au. ITA will send you a free recycling carton for you to recycle your used cartridges. Once full, ITA will then arrange a free collection service so you don’t have to worry about waste removal.
This is a great initiative to start your office recycling! Go green and walk a little on the wild side with ITA and Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors.

Become a Koala Crusader!
Did you know that Australia has the worst rate of mammalian extinction compared to any other country in the world? Unfortunately, the koala is fast becoming part of this statistic. The koala population is being ravaged by habitat loss and fragmentation, motor vehicle accidents, domestic pet attacks and most disturbingly, disease.
Chlamydial disease in koalas causes keratoconjunctivitis, urinary tract infection, kidney failure, infertility, pneumonia and flu-like symptoms and if not treated, causes a slow and painful death.
Koalas in the wild are also suffering from the koala retrovirus (KoRV), thought to cause leukaemia, bone marrow failure, cancers and an immunodeficieny syndrome ("Koala AIDS").

Unfortunately, research into these horrific diseases is labour intensive and costly. Wildlife Warriors and the Australian Wildlife Hospital have the expertise and the determination... all we need is the funding.
We need 6,000 generous people to donate $80
to cover the cost of research for the next two years.
Donations $80 and over will receive a limited edition Koala Crusader keyring and certificate for your generous contribution. Why not sign up your friends and family as a unique Christmas gift?
Donate today and become a Koala Crusader!

"We have the chance of saving the koala - if we do nothing, we will lose them... sooner or later."
Dr Jon Hanger, Director of Research and Ecological Services, Australian Wildlife Hospital.
